Tracey Napoleon is a highly capable and energetic professional with a wealth of experience in the coaching field. Her objective is to utilize her coaching and mentoring methods to help develop successful student-athletes. Tracey has been the Assistant Women’s basketball coach at Middlesex County college for 7 seasons. Her responsibilities at Middlesex County College include the implementation of offenses; including, but not limited to, transition, and out of bounds sets, individual player development, pre-season conditioning, recruiting, college placement, fundraising, and game day preparation.

Napoleon’s college coaching career started at NJIT 1997-1998 Where she was given the opportunity to assist Kim Barnes-Arico (Now head coach of the Michigan Wolverines women’s basketball team). The team went to the play-offs for the first time in many years. Her responsibilities included, conditioning, on court practices, and mentoring among other aspects of coaching.

After her time at NJIT Napoleon was the Assistant women’s basketball coach at Rutgers University (Newark) 1998-2001. Her responsibilities included recruiting, conditioning, on court coaching with an emphasis on defense and guard play. The program was competitive but more importantly they graduated over 85% of their young ladies.

From 2001-2004 Napoleon was the Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach at Caldwell University. She was an integral part in the transition of the program going from NAIA to NCAA. Napoleon assisted in the development of Anntrinette Barrino an All-American guard/forward. Ann was a 1,000-point scorer and rebounder at Caldwell. In 2001 Caldwell was crowned CACC Champions, which led them to the NAIA nationals. Napoleon assisted in all aspects of the program, including pre/post-season conditioning, and recruiting.

Before arriving at Middlesex, Napoleon was the Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach at her Alma Mater Union County College (2004-2010). She was a vital part of the program’s championship run. UCC went three consecutive years as conference and region champions. UCC was ranked as high as number five in the nation in NJCAA Division 2. UCC completed an unprecedented undefeated regular season in 2009. Napoleon assisted in all aspects of the women’s basketball program, including but not limited to play development, recruiting, scouting, fundraising, on court coaching (specializing in defense and guard play), conditioning, transportation, and assuring the placement of student athletes to four year schools. Ninety percent of UCC sophomores went on to four-year colleges. Other responsibilities include academic advisement, and mentoring. Napoleon was directly responsible for the development of Kodak All-American guard Marbely Montas, who successfully finished her career and education at Monmouth University.
