Carey Monkowski

A dual sport athlete, playing softball and bowling during her four-tears as an undergraduate student, Carey Monkowski received her BA from Western New England University in 1996. Carey majored in Government with a minor concentration in Criminal Justice and Business. Continuing her education, Carey graduated from Springfield College in 1998 earning an M Ed., Athletic Administration degree.

In addition to gaining experience with athletics administration as a Graduate Assistant at Western New England University from 1996-1997 and an internship at University of Hartford from 1997-1998, Carey served as the Athletic Director for the Boys & Girls Club in Wayne, NJ from 1999 to 2001. Ms. Monkowsi engaged in softball again by coaching.

She served as Assistant Softball Coach at Elms College in 1998, Felician University in 2000, and at West Essex High School in 2002.   

Carey Monkowski has been an Assistant Athletic Director at Middlsex County College since 2002. During her tenure at Middlesesx County College, Carey Monkowski’s highlights from 2004-2018 include three semi-final appearances, national rankings for two years, the coaching of eight All-Americans, having players break seven individual records, and compiling a best team record with 26 wins and 7 losses for an average of .778.

Carey is a proud parent to her son, Charlie, and her daughters, Madison and Amanda.
