LUKACHYK, BRESSLER BOOST #8 MIDDLESEX COLLEGE BASEBALL PAST DELAWARE CCC

Brett Lukachyk went 3-3 with four runs scored and two stolen bases and Conor Drury belted his first career home run as Middlesex College won their third straight game, topping Delaware County Community College 19-2.

The win moves the Colts record to 16-5 and they are currently the #8 team in the country in the latest NJCAA D3 National Poll.

Righty Robert Bressler (Freshman/Piscataway, NJ) pitched four innings of one-hit shutout ball to pick up his first collegiate win.

Middlesex had the bats going early, building a 11-0 lead through three innings. The Colts put the game away with a five run fifth and outhit the Phantoms 12-3. Middlesex took advantage of nine DCCC walks and eight errors as well.

Jhoalvin Ledesma (Freshman/Carteret, NJ) went 2-4 with a double, two runs and two RBIs for the Colts as well.

Christopher Peralta (Freshman/Philadelphia, PA) and Michael Canavesio (Sophomore/Middlesex, NJ) pitched the final three innings to close out the win. Colts pitching allowed just three hits and two runs over seven innings while striking out 11.

The two teams bounce back the next day as Middlesex will host Delaware CCC in a single game Wednesday. First pitch is scheduled for 3:00PM.
