SILVA SCORES A CAREER-HIGH 25 AS MIDDLESEX MENS BASKETBALL WINS SIXTH STRAIGHT

David Silva scored a career-high 25 points and Savion Pressley added 26 as Middlesex College ran past Bergen Community College 93-82 for the Colts sixth straight win.

Middlesex hasn't lost a game in nearly six weeks and with their winning streak, the team remains poised to pursue a postseason berth going into the final third of the schedule. With ten games remaining, Middlesex needs four more wins to guarantee at least a .500 record on the season.

Against Bergen, the Colts dominated from the start, opening up a lead of more than 20 in the first half. Middlesex took a 49-31 lead into halftime.

While the Bulldogs were able to cut into the Middlesex lead in the second half, the Colts were never in serious trouble on their way to the nine-point win.

In addition to his 25 points, Silva nabbed a career-high 14 rebounds for his second double-double of the season.

George Rah (Freshman/Highland Park, NJ) added ten rebounds and Emanuel Davila (Sophomore/Edison, NJ) had six assists for the Colts.

Middlesex looks to continue their winning streak when they travel to Montgomery County College Thursday for a 7pm tipoff.
