PRESSLEY, EDMOND LEAD MIDDLESEX OVER Nassau CC

Savion Pressley led all scorers with 23 points and Anthony Williams and Jakin Edmond had 12 rebounds each as Middlesex College Men's Basketball continued their hot start to 2024 with a 76-73 road win over Nassau CC.

Middlesex has also beaten Drew University JV and Westchester CC since the calendar turned to the New Year and is now 13-6 on the season. Nassau fell to 9-7 with the loss.

Middlesex outscored Nassau 40-33 in the first half and then held on for the three-point win. Edmond had 13 points to go along with his 12 boards for his second double-double of the season. The sophomore forward also paced the team with five assists.

Prior to the win over Nassau, Middlesex topped Drew JV 114-76 at home. Presley once again led all scorers with 25 points and Jahmere Glover (Sophomore/Irvington, NJ) added 22. Anthony Williams had a double-double against Drew, going for 12 points and 12 rebounds.

Damien Downes (Freshman/South Brunswick, NJ) had 13 points in 17 minutes off the bench against Drew.

Middlesex returns to action Tuesday night when they host Essex CC. They also will host Camden CC on Thursday night for Pink Night.
