
MIDDLESEX COLLEGE MEN'S BASKETBALL MOVES TO 3-0 WITH WIN OVER MONROE UNIVERSITY JV
Sean Williams had 24 points and Alfeny Javier Concepcion had a double-double off the bench as Middlesex College Men's Basketball moved to 3-0 with a 96-70 win over Monroe University JV.
All three Colts wins this season have come by more than 25 points. Twelve different Colts scored a basket in the game.
Middlesex got off to a fast start against Monroe, building a 47-27 lead at the half and never allowed Monroe back in the game in the second half as they cruised to a 26-point victory.
Like the Colts, Williams has been off to a hot start this season. A game after setting a career high with 25 points against Westchester CC, he topped 20 points in the second straight game on the strength of 6-12 shooting from three-point range.
Concepcion had a tremendous all-around game for Middlesex, registering 14 points and 14 rebounds while also leading the Colts with three steals.
Michael Byfield (SophomoreEnglewood, NJ) and Jalen James (Freshman/Maplewood, NJ) added ten points each and Tristin Harcourt (Sophomore/Newark, NJ) pulled down 10 rebounds. Lorenzo Perez (Sophomore/Perth Amboy, NJ) paced Middlesex with seven assists.
Middlesex returns to the court on Saturday when they travel to Kingsborough CC. Game time is set to tip off at 1:00PM.
