Jamie Madrid and Ronaldo Valencia scored two goals apiece and Middlesex College converted three penalty kicks as the Colts topped visiting RCSJ-Cumberland 10-1 to move to 4-1 on the season.
Jayson Vassallo (Sophomore/South River, NJ), Jeremy Madrid (Sophomore/Perth Amboy, NJ) and Javier Trejo-Ruiz (Freshman/North Brunswick, NJ) divided time in goal for the Colts to combine on the team's third shutout of the season.
Middlesex (4-1) got the scoring started early when Jonathan Antonio (Freshman/Edison, NJ) converted a pass from Allan Solomon (Freshman/Edison, NJ) in the game's sixth minute.
Madrid scored both of his goals in the first half to bring his total to five on the season. Juan Araboleda (Freshman/Elizabeth, NJ), Jayden Odum (Freshman/Piscataway, NJ) and Joshua Wenzel (Freshman/Union Beach, NJ) were the other goal scorers in the first half as Middlesex took a 6-0 lead over RCSJ-Cumberland (0-4) into the break.
Valencia scored both of his goals, his first two of the season, in the second half. Ryan Cardenas (Sophomore/Perth Amboy, NJ) and Ousman Saidy (Freshman/Perth Amboy, NJ) also tallied goals for the Colts in the second half.
The goals by Araboleda, Wenzel and Saidy came on converted penalty kicks.
Middlesex returns to action on Thursday when they travel to County College of Morris for a 4:00PM kickoff.
