MADRID (TWO GOALS, TWO ASSISTS) LEADS COLTS PAST BUCKS CC, 6-2

Jamie Madrid had his second straight two-goal game as Jeremy Madrid and Jayson Vassallo combined for four saves as Middlesex College Men's Soccer won their third straight game, topping Bucks CC, 6-2.

The Colts moved to 5-1 with the win and received votes in this week's NJCAA D3 National Men's Soccer poll.

Middlesex jumped out to an early lead when Olivier Huppolite (Freshman/North Brunswick, NJ) scored his first goal of the season in the game's sixth minute when he converted a pass from Madrid to give Middlesex a 1-0 lead.

Madrid and Juan Arboleda (Freshman/Elizabeth, NJ) also scored first half goals as Middlesex carried a 3-1 lead into the break.

The second half was more of the same as the Colts also tallied three second-half goals compared to one for the Centurions. Madrid added his second goal while Michael Estevez (Sophomore/South Plainfield) and David Pereira (Freshman/Woodbridge, NJ) also found the back of the net.

Madrid assisted on two of the Colts goals while Huppolite, Roberto Ortiz-Tapia (Freshman/Woodbridge, NJ) and Joseph Roco (Freshman/Old Bridge, NJ) also assisted on Colts goals.

Middlesex returns to action Tuesday when they travel to Camden County College to take on the Cougars. Game time is set for 4:00PM.
