Middlesex College Men's Soccer finished their 2023 season with an impressive result, garnering a 1-1 tie against Ocean County College, the nation's #9 ranked team.
With the tie, the Colts finish the regular season with a record of 7-6-3 and have qualified for the NJCAA Tournament. The tournament begins Saturday, October 21 and seeding will be announced at 8:00PM on October 18.
Against Ocean, the lone goal scorer for the Colts was Cesar Silva (Freshman/Old Bridge, NJ) and the Middlesex defense was able to hold off Ocean to keep the game tied.
Middlesex has had a fantastic showing against the top teams in Region XIX this season, having tied Montgomery and Ocean, the second and fourth ranked teams in Region XIX by winning percentage, respectively. The Colts defeated RCSJ-Gloucester, who has the third highest winning percentage in Region XIX.
