
MIDDLESEX WOMENS BASKETBALL WINS FOURTH IN A ROW, TOPPING MORRIS 61-43
Carla Seyfarth and Franchesca Derilus combined for 29 points and were two of the four players who scored in double digits as Middlesex College Women's Basketball topped County College of Morris 61-43 for their fourth straight win.
The win moves the Colts to 9-13 on the season and keeps their playoff hopes alive. Middlesex and Morris battled in a close first quarter in which Courtney Hansen (Freshman/Carteret, NJ) scored six points as Middlesex led 14-13 after one.
The Colts took control of the game in the second quarter, outscoring Morris 11-4 to take an eight point lead into halftime.
After a close third quarter, Middlesex pulled away from Morris in the fourth, outscoring the visiting Titans 20-9 to seal the victory.
In addition to Seyfarth (15) and Derilus (14), Kaylin Nepton (Freshman/Middlesex, NJ) scored 12 off the bench and Hansen added 10.
Middlesex is back in action Saturday when they face off against Berkley College at home. Tipoff is set for 3:00PM.
