MIDDLESEX COLLEGE WOMENS BASKETBALL MOVES TO 9-2 WITH 66-53 WIN OVER DUTCHESS CC

Sarah Ohnmeiss scored a season-high 14 and Damani Anderson scored 12 to lead Middlesex College Women's Basketball to a 66-53 win over Dutchess CC.

The win is the fifth in a row for the Colts and improves their record to 9-2 on the season. Their nine wins are the second most in Region 19 among women's teams regardless of division.

Middlesex played well from the start, opening a 17-5 lead over Dutchess CC (6-3) with seven of those points coming from Courtney Hansen (Sophomore/Carteret, NJ).

The Colts extended their lead to 16 by halftime and weren't threatened in the second half, thanks in large part to Ohnmeiss' offensive contributions. The sophomore forward from South Plainfield, NJ scored eight of her 14 points in the third.

The reigning GSAC Player of the Week, Vanessa Rivas (Sophomore/Perth Amboy, NJ) added ten points of her own.

Middlesex returns to action Saturday when they travel to Lackawana CC. Tipoff is set for 1:00PM.
