The Middlesex College Women's Soccer team had three different goal scorers and Rania Alaboura saved all six shots she faced as the Colts topped Montgomery 3-0 for their first win of 2022.
After a scoreless first half, freshman Akylah Hawkins (Freshman/North Brunswick, NJ) scored her first collegiate goal, converting a pass from Megan O'Grady (Sophomore/Monroe, NJ) in the game's 62nd minute.
The Colts (1-3) extended their lead to 2-0 over Montgomery CC (1-1) just six minutes later when Imani Foat (Freshman/North Brunswick, NJ) converted a penalty kick.
Middlesex wasn't done scoring as Camila Lucas (Sophomore/Perth Amboy, NJ) gave Middlesex their third goal in less than ten minutes when she took a pass from Hawkins and cashed it in to make it 3-0.
Alaboura had a strong game for the Colts in goal, saving three shots in each half.
The Colts return to action on Tuesday when they travel to RCSJ-Cumberland for an important Region XIX road match. Kickoff is set for 4:00PM.
