
RAMOS-ADRIAN REGISTERS 25 SERVICE POINTS AS MIDDLESEX TOPS BERGEN
Kilanny Ramos-Adrian had 25 service points and added a team-high seven kills as Middlesex College topped Bergen Community College in three sets to imporve to 3-1 on the season
It was the second sweep of the season for Middlesex (3-1) and their second straight home win.
"It's great to see the team pull together when they come across a little bit of adversity," said Head Coach Henry Romero. "They managed to turn thigns around quickly by communicating and understanding that everyone needs to pitch in to be successful."
The Colts won the first set 25-13 then won the next two sets by identical 25-9.
Adrian-Ramos (Sophomore/Perth Amboy, NJ) had an outstanding all-around game for the Colts as she also registered eight aces, seven digs and 12 assists. Johanna Kovalewich (Freshman/Colonia, NJ) added13 service points and six aces while Isabelle Shields (Freshman/Old Bridge, NJ) had seven kills. Libero Emi Thai (Freshman/Old Bridge, NJ) had five assists and ten digs.
Middlesex is scheduled to play their third straight home match on Friday against Manor College with tipoff coming at 6:00pm.
